CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Keep Your Custom Apparel Looking Its Best

At Bandit Transfers, we believe great custom apparel should look just as good after multiple washes as it did the day you received it.

Our high-quality printing process produces vibrant colors, sharp details, and durable designs. But just like any favorite piece of clothing, proper care makes all the difference.

Follow these simple instructions to help protect your custom prints, maintain their appearance, and get the most out of every shirt.

Before Your First Wash

Give Your New Shirt Time to Set

Wait 24–48 hours before washing newly pressed apparel.

This allows the adhesive used in the printing process to fully cure and bond with the fabric fibers.

Washing too soon may interfere with that bond and reduce the life of your print.

Our Recommendation: Give your new custom apparel at least 48 hours before its first wash whenever possible.

Washing Instructions

A Little Care Goes a Long Way

1. Turn Your Garment Inside Out

Always turn your shirt inside out before washing. This helps protect the printed design from rubbing against other garments and the washing machine drum.

2. Wash In Cold Water

Use cold water at 86°F (30°C) or below. Hot water can weaken the adhesive bond, contribute to fading, and shorten the life of your design.

3. Choose A Gentle Cycle

Select a delicate or normal wash cycle with a low spin setting. Avoid overloading the washing machine so garments have room to move without excessive friction.

4. Use A Mild Detergent

Choose a gentle, bleach-free liquid detergent to help preserve both the fabric and the printed design.

5. Skip Bleach & Fabric Softener

Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Fabric softeners can leave residue that affects the print's adhesive, while bleach can damage printed colors and the garment itself.

Drying Instructions

Protect Your Print From Excessive Heat

Air Dry Whenever Possible

The best way to extend the life of your custom apparel is to hang it or lay it flat to dry in the shade.

Air drying minimizes heat exposure and helps preserve the appearance and flexibility of the print.

Using a Dryer? Keep It Low.

If machine drying is necessary:

Turn your garment inside out.

Use the lowest available heat setting.

Avoid high-temperature drying.

Excessive heat can cause printed designs to crack, peel, or become damaged over time.

For the longest print life, air drying is our preferred method.

Ironing Instructions

Never Apply Direct Heat to Your Design

Do Not Iron Directly Over the Print

Placing a hot iron directly against your printed design can melt or damage the transfer.

Iron Inside Out

If ironing is necessary, turn your garment inside out and use a low-heat setting on the reverse side of the printed area.

Alternatively, place parchment paper over the design before carefully pressing from the front.

Always avoid direct contact between the iron and the printed artwork.
