DTF Explained


Direct-to-film printing, or DTF, is a modern apparel decoration method that produces vibrant, durable transfers designed to be heat pressed onto garments. Unlike traditional printing methods, DTF allows for full-color graphics, fine detail and consistent results across a wide range of fabrics.

Designing For Apparel


Designing for apparel requires a production-first approach. Fabric texture, garment color, ink behavior, and press conditions all influence how artwork translates from screen to garment. At Bandit Transfers, we design with these variables in mind so every piece of artwork is prepared to print cleanly and perform consistently in real-world use.
 

Halftones play an important role in apparel design, allowing gradients and shading to reproduce without heavy ink buildup. When prepared correctly, halftones improve flexibility, reduce stiffness, and help prints stretch naturally with the garment.
